Did you hear Bono of U2 is happy that he snubbed the man who has done alot to fight AIDS in Africa?

He is happy he snubbed President Bush. But, he has more than most to fight AIDS in Africa. Is not that disturbing?

Yes it is disturbing. The man obviously cares more about politics than helping the poor and sick in Africa..

I love bono. U2 is the best! i really like beautiful day. let him do what he wants, its a free country. people snub others all the time.

I havent listened to U2 in over twenty years.

Yes. Shows his lack of class.

isn’t that funny? because i remember bush stopping on the tarmac to talk to bono for a hour at the airport.what a hypocrite.he then had nothing but praise for bush.what a loser.that’s what happens when your a has been, you do what you have to.just to stay in the headlines.

Bono is just another loud, obnoxious Marxist entertainer who erroneously believes he has something of value to say.

What disturbs me is that Bush sent our tax dollars to fight AIDS in another country. This is not an authorized expense to be paid for by tax payers as per the Constitution. I am ok with giving aid to other countries on a volunteer bases but our government is exceeding its authorized powers when they use our money without our consent in these issues. The Constitution plainly limits the power of the federal government’s spending to infrastructure and national defense, of which AIDS research in Africa is not.

As for Bono, who cares. He is just another spoiled Hollywood brat. I will at least give him some respect because he actually tries to make a difference.

Bush didn’t do ‘alot’ to fight aids in Africa, he did more than anyone on the planet and more than anyone will likely do in the foreseeable future.

That effort and the proved results in bringing down the incidents of aids is what identifies Bono. Without Bush, Bono is just another marginal front man for a technically challenged pop band.

The snub was cowardly.

Bono has been a self-indulgent fop for over two decades and counting. He’s just one of the large group of socialist entertainers who jet around the globe in the name of charity while raking in millions from his loyal followers. If he’d just stuck to singing and quietly working for his causes instead of crowing about his ridiculous political opinions I’d have much more respect for him.

I try not to let celebrity politics bother me. I tend to vote Democrat, not because it’s what Bono or Matt Damon want, but rather it’s what I want. I think the same way, whenever I turn on c-span and see some brainless actor/actress lecturing the Senate on some issue.

Frankly, I think the AIDS crisis in Africa, has a lot to do with prevention and very little to do with money. I would like to see a politician-and this will never happen-tell the Africa government to institute sex education classes and do massive condum distribution programs.

Fight Aids

you know the Nike campaign to wear red shoe laces to help fight aids in Africa

i went to a local Nike store yesterday and bought one, great success!!

me too man.
plus they look sweet on my predator x cleats(croos-brand but who cares)

When big corporations such as Nike, campaign for things like this; they only think of one thing, money. Its a marketing device. Its trend these days to be a humanitarian, or go green. Hence, big corporations, have privatized it, and are making a huge profit off this. Its a evil and disgusting thing. So, quite frankly, I think you’ll do more for Aids in africa, by not wearing the that f_u_c_king shoe!

I need to find someone who has contributed to helping fight AIDS, who is either famous or well known.

Will Smith, Elton John, Madonna, Rihanna, Chicks on Speed,Good Charlotte, Henrik Vibskov, Jade Jagger, Justice, Tiga, Ziggy Marley, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, The Cardigans, Katharine Hamnett, Timbaland, Nina Persson and My Chemical Romance are some that are joining in the fight.

Find, as in know who they are?
Elizabeth Taylor
Elton John
Madonna
Liza Minnelli

Find, as in meet them? Not going to happen with any of those four…
